Let me present 2 tools that I bought recently and which are a handy-dandy addition to my tool collection. They make my work easier, faster and more precise. Also, when it comes to cleaning – it takes less time. Speed and ease.
Proxxon 28092 Scroll Saw was bought because of 2 reasons – one – it’s Proxxon, which speaks for itself – good quality, good design and very robust; two – it had a square table – love from the 1st sight! When it arrived I had to convert its plug from a 2-pin EU to a 3-pin UK one. Then I adjusted the table to a perfect 90º, checked the blade tension and it was ready to go. It has onboard storage of extra blades and the Allen key. The table is flat and when set to the desired angle, stays securely in place with no play and no wiggling. It’s built of high-quality materials, largely metals and some plastic. Due to its reasonable weight, it’s easy to move, yet it’s not too light and feels solid. It’s also easy to store – it doesn’t take up too much space. Very happy with this purchase.
Licence to drill or dust-free drilling hoover attachment (suction hood, dust extraction for drilling in concrete). Many names, one goal – dust-free drilling, no mess, no problem. There is literally 0% dust, even the drilled holes are completely dust-free and ready for wall plugs. That dust hood accepts drill bits up to 20 mm, but I only use 2 sizes – 5 and 8 mm most of the time. It sucks to the wall as advertised, and its mirror ring allows me to drill at a perfect 90º angle. Very happy with this one, would recommend it to everyone. There’s only one thing I don’t understand – when it’s removed from the wall after the drilling is done, I can see some shade or dust residue. It would be still there, even if the wall is wiped with a wet cloth? Those may be super small particles that go into the painted surface and are too tiny to be removed. Mystery …
