Autumn tools, edition 2019

The most important upgrade to my “shed shop” this year was the new table saw Bosch GTS 10J Professional. I’d watched tons of YouTube videos and read thousands of reviews prior to buying this one. I must say I like this saw! It’s easy to move from place to place, it’s easy to clean with compressed air, the top is flat, it has a paddle-off switch and the riving knife has the right size and position. On the other hand, it has a very badly designed mitre gauge, and it comes with a terrible blade.

Makita TM3000CX4 Oscillating Multi-Tool is a tool I use very often. Sanding in tight areas and plunge cutting – 2 features I love. This tool comes with sanding pads from 60 to 240 grits – all I need. Also, there is an adapter for Bosch (and other) blades.

Makita B-28531 Ultra Mag magnetic bit holder is my third hand. I use this one all the time. Without the sleeve it works just as a regular bit holder, but with the sleeve on it’s an amazing little helper. It’s a perfect match with my Makita TD0101F impact driver.

Makita M4000 blower replaced my Katsu 800W air blower. It’s slightly less powerful, but it does the job. I can use it to clean my tools and inflate beds and swimming mattresses, as it is equipped with a pointed onboard nozzle. I also use it to get rid of any sawdust from my clothes, boots and hat after the work is finished. It is extremely handy, and I can’t live without it.
